From The Long Road Home’s Facebook page: On this Val Day, we invite you to fall in love with The Long Road Home, LLC. Our love story began three years ago, and it has been a wild ride. Owning and working a business day in and day out as a newly married couple isn’t always the love story we would like it to be. However, we continue to build on each other. Our small business is our livelihood and our legacy. A few facts about The Long Road Home: 1. Our name came from three important factors- our last name is Long. It took a long time to find one another, and owning a restaurant (even though mobile) has been a long standing dream of both of ours. 2. We hand cut our meat and veggies each day. Our meals come from FRESH never frozen ingredients. 3. Joe and I run this business as husband and wife, and it is just the two of us. We pride ourselves on quality and try to make each customer who graces our window feel like a friend, not just a number. 4. Our prep time is usually close to three hours (sometimes more) to do one lunch or event. 5. We book for weddings, block parties, festivals, company lunches, private parties, community events- you name it, we have probably done it. 6. This year is our year to grow. We continue to work with wonderful local businesses to set up dedicated spots so we can establish consistency for our wonderful customers. 7. We have a wide variety if catering options that exceed our regular food truck menu. If you are searching for a more upscale menu, we have you covered. My grandma brought back recipes from around the workd. Joe and i have spent many nights in the kitchen concocting new creations and giving old recipes our special twists. 8. Most important, we love you all for all of your comments and support. Everytime you share our posts, or like our page, it helps us grow. Your word of mouth is everything to us.
